I did a photo shoot yesterday with Kayla. I’ve never shot Kayla before but she did a great job and I was quite pleased with the shots I got. The shoot was done at Cave Hollow park and Pertle Springs park in Warrensburg. I used a Nikon D200 and in many of the shots I used an 800WS Lumedyne flash shot through a white umbrella.

I worked at my family portrait studio in Warsaw Missouri for the past 7 years and I’ve shot on quite a few senior shoots but since I started school at UCM this fall I haven’t done any pro photo shoots. I finally got a chance to do a senior type shoot a couple weeks ago for Alexiss who was a freshman at UCM but hadn’t had senior pictures done because she was home schooled. Our families have know each other for several years and so it was great to be able to do a shoot for friends.
I think the shoot went great. Alexiss is a great model with a lot of personality and she had a good time at the shoot. It was nice to break away from my semester assignments and just take pictures.
